Conditions of The Award:

Applicants must be accepted at a participating NPSC member Ph.D. granting university or college and progress through a full-time study program leading to a Ph.D. degree in the physical sciences or related engineering fields.
Applicants must be in a Ph.D.-track program. An applicant may obtain a master's degree, based on the university's expectations and requirements.
NPSC requires that the applicant work for an NPSC-member employer for the summer preceding and following the first year of graduate school. Deviations must be approved by the sponsoring employer and the NPSC Executive Director.
To continue in good standing, NPSC Fellows must submit a transcript annually as well as any forms and information that NPSC requests.
Students must perform satisfactorily in their summer internship and during the academic year.
A student who switches his or her field of study to one not of interest to the sponsoring employer may have support terminated.
