NPSC provides an important service to U. S. businesses, industries
and laboratories by identifying tomorrow's
most promising scientists and matching them with employers
who support the student's doctoral training. During the
two required summer internships, Fellows conduct research
for their sponsoring employer. Some perform their Ph.D.
research at their sponsor's facility. Several NPSC fellows
have gone to work for their sponsor after the Ph.D.; NPSC
has revised its program to increase the likelihood that
this happens in the future.
Find out how
your company can become an NPSC member and launch enduring,
mutually beneficial relationships with the science scholars
of tomorrow.

"NPSC betters the odds that Sandia National Laboratories will be able to hire the citizen-scientists, especially women and underrepresented minorities, that it wants and needs. NPSC allows Sandia the excellent opportunity to 'grow our own'."
— Norma Hibbs, Sandia National Laboratories
"My initial attraction to the NPSC was financial: Xerox could afford to sponsor more fellows because we didn't have to pay their tuition. That most are minorities or female or both iced the cake. The NPSC is an effective way to outsource fellowship program administration."
— Bill Skinner, formerly of Xerox Corporation
